As a food reviewer, I can attest to the extraordinary nature of the food at Botanica. The use of spices in their dishes is impeccable, and their pastries and bread are freshly made, elevating the dining experience to a whole new level.
The menu at Botanica is a delightful mix of breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner options, with highlights such as the Zaatar & Feta Babka, The Diner Plate, and the Breakfast Mezze. The Chai served here is also exceptional, making it one of the best I've ever had.

“ The food is extraordinary! The spices they use are everything! Their pastries & bread are sooooo fresh and well made! We ordered the: Zaatar & Feta Babka - 10/10 The Diner Plate - OMG served with the best jam I've ever had The breakfast Mezze- I personally loved it! A lot of the food in this dish is pretty heavily pickled so just make sure you like that briney taste if you chose to order this. Also their Chai is one of the best I've had! And their service is amazing. Totally recommend!! ”
“ This restaurant is 5/5 for me because the staff are great! They are warm and friendly. It's my first time in Silverlake despite having lived in DTLA for a long while. It's a nice neighborhood with beautiful houses. We had brunch here and I enjoyed the Breakfast Diner Plate. The chicken sausage and the sauce are superb! Plus the Cortado is pretty strong per my request but it was just what I liked! Overall, it's a nice area for a brunch spot, quiet and intimate. ”
“ Cute restaurant with great food! Parking - tough as it's silverlake, was able to find street parking in nearby neighborhood. Service - had a reservation for 12pm, I got there 10 mins early but was unfortunately not sat till 12:10pm, so I just kinda stood there for 20 mins. Once sat our waiter was attentive and great! Food - great menu! I had a delicious juice and got the diner place. Mix of great flavors and I felt really satiated. Also shared the french toast with my table. Overall great spot I'd love to return and shop their curated shop of wines, cook books and more! ”
“ I've wanted to come to this place for sometime now and finally got the chance to go. The place is beautiful in the patio and inside. I decided to first try the Yuzu soda. It was tart since it's made with grapefruit but the bartender gave me some agave to sweeten it up. The portions are a bit small but so good. I had the hummus with Lafa bread and the Japanese potatoes. Both were so delicious. I ended up being full after both of those things. Overall everything tasted great and I look forward to trying brunch here. SN: parking is street parking which is kind of hard in this area so plan ahead if you have reservations. ”
“ My friend and I came to Botanica on a whim whilst looking for a place to grab a late lunch. The food at Botanica is lovingly plated and displayed, and I do appreciate that they focus on seasonally available produce for their menu offerings. We were sat in the back patio, which felt like an upscale greenhouse (with the humidity to match! Thank goodness for the outdoor fans). I chose the diner plate with mushrooms, and my friend chose the Turkish eggs. My meal was wonderful - dipping the buttered sourdough bread in those bright orange yolks, with the marinated mushrooms and Calabrian harissa, was a deliciously singular experience. My friend said her dish was very good. I also had the Cacao-Date Mocha with oat milk, and it was a refreshing respite on a muggy day. Service in general was lovely, save for one moment at the beginning. When we first arrived, we stood at the sign in the front that says "please wait to be served". It looked like the staff were all occupied, and while we were greeted when we first walked in, it did take several minutes before someone came to the front. In the meantime, another patron entered and stood behind us to wait. The server who eventually walked up to the front approached the woman behind us first, even though we were standing right there. (The woman redirected the server to assist us first, which was kind of her, but it was a distinctly uncomfortable moment). ”
